Services · Embedded AI Department
An embedded AI department, without hiring one.
An outside team that works as your AI department: strategy with your leaders, then consultants and engineers who build with your people and train them, month after month. Your company owns everything we build.
How it starts
One task, then one project, then a department.
- 01
Free live build
We build one workflow live with the person who does the task, in 30 minutes. You keep it.
- 02
First project or assessment
A scoped first project measured in weeks, often in accounting and reporting. Larger companies can start with a paid assessment: current and future-state procedures, a ranked build list and a proposal, credited against the build.
- 03
Monthly engagement
A consultant and an engineer work as your AI department: picking the next work, building it with your team, training owners and keeping it running.
What we do each month
Build, train, improve, repeat.
Pick the next work
Agree with leadership which workflows come next, by value, feasibility and risk.
Build with your team
Build each workflow live with the people who do the work, read-only first.
Train owners
Each workflow gets a named owner who can run it and change it. Team training is included.
Monitor and improve
Fix what breaks and agree who owns monitoring, changes and the next rollout.
What we take on
Strategy, builds, data and governance.
Most engagements start in accounting and reporting: invoice coding and approval, month-end and investor reports, cash visibility and follow-up drafts.
AI strategy with your leaders
Where AI fits, what it must not touch, and how success is judged, revisited as the work grows.
Workflow builds
AI workflows built with your people inside the tools you already pay for, connected to the systems you already run.
Data foundations
Getting the data your workflows need into shape: clean exports, shared folders and read-only access to your systems.
Governance
AI ground rules, least-privilege access, skill evaluations and a security review before anything rolls out.
Compared
Embedded AI department vs an in-house AI team.
Three ways to get AI work done in a company. Each is right for someone.
Hire an in-house AI team
Right when AI is core to your product or you have years of steady AI work. Takes recruiting time, and one or two hires rarely cover strategy, engineering and training at once.
A traditional consultancy
Right for a defined strategy question or a large program. Often ends with a plan, and the build or the training goes to someone else.
An embedded AI department
Strategy, builds and training from one outside team, month after month, with the skills left in your company. Start without hiring, and hire later if it makes sense.
Terms that stay simple
No lock-in. You own the work.
- Three-month minimum. Most engagements run six to twelve months.
- No lock-in.
- Skills are plain files your company owns.
- No running fee to us after a project. Your AI subscription is paid to the provider.
- NDA before we look at your data.
Other ways to work with us
Every line leads to the next.
Executive AI Training
A one-day workshop or offsite where your leadership team agrees where AI fits, watches it built on your own work, and leaves with owners and a first project.
Team Training
Your whole team learns to work with AI the same way, live, on their own work, inside the tools you already pay for.
Free Live Build
Bring one task your team still does by hand. We build it with you in 30 minutes, and you keep it.

FAQ
Embedded AI Department questions, answered.
What is an embedded AI department?
An outside team that works as your company's AI department: it sets AI priorities with your leaders, builds the workflows with your staff, trains them and keeps the work running, month after month, without you hiring an in-house AI team.
Is this the same as a fractional chief AI officer?
It overlaps. A fractional chief AI officer usually sets strategy and governance. An embedded AI department does that too, and also builds and trains, with a consultant and an engineer working with your team each month.
Why not hire an in-house AI team?
Some companies should, and we will say so. An embedded department lets you start without recruiting, covers strategy, engineering and training at once, and leaves the skills with your staff if you later hire your own team.
How long is an engagement?
Three months minimum. Most run six to twelve months.
Are we locked in?
No. The skills are plain files your company owns, and after a project the only running cost is your AI subscription, paid to the provider.
Who owns the work?
Your company. Workflows, written procedures and the know-how stay with your team.
What happens when someone leaves?
The workflows are documented, shared skills owned by your company, so the work stays when a person goes.
Do you replace people?
The aim is to let your team take on more work without the next hire. We make no promise either way about headcount.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, before we look at your data.
Do we need the Cyndra platform?
No. We build on the tools your team already uses. The platform is an option if you want a managed place to run your workflows.
